The 31-year-old spent three seasons with Racing Santander in Spain's top flight but has spent the bulk of his career in the Segundo Division, recently parting company with his fifth club – Mallorca.

It’s understood that Rodriguez will be officially confirmed as Brisbane's latest visa player on Friday - just a week out from the three-time champions’ season-opener against Melbourne Victory at Suncorp Stadium.
He has scored 51 goals in spells with his first club Castellion, Racing, Rayo Vallecano, Recreativo and Mallorca, for whom he scored 10 times in 52 appearances over two seasons.
Still near the peak of his powers, Rodriguez is the same age as the Roar’s high profile signing, former Socceroos star Brett Holman.
And coach John Aloisi will be hoping he can make the same impact as fellow Spaniard Corona – who emerged as Brisbane's most accomplished player after signing two weeks before the start of last season.
