With violence occupying most of the off-field headlines during the tournament, the colourful Irish fans have made a name for themselves for all the right reasons.

Their latest venture included French supporters in a joyful rendition of the 'conga line' dance, to illustrate fans in a positive light and showcase how football is truly the world game in bringing people together.
But the Irish fans didn't stop there, and in a classic moment of sportsmanship, they congratulated French supporters after the full-time whistle, despite a heart-breaking defeat.

Ireland's faithful have even won over police during the tournament, with one officer clapping and getting amongst the feel-good vibe created by the fans.

Unfortunately their side's EURO 2016 run has come to an end, but kudos to Irish fans, who have certainly portrayed themselves and football in a cheerful and joyous light.
