Crotone promoted to Serie A for the first time

Crotone have been promoted to Serie A for the first time in their history after a 1-1 draw at Modena.

The visitors picked up the point they needed to guarantee a maiden season in the top flight of Italian football thanks to Raffaele Palladino's 44th-minute penalty, which cancelled out Davide Luppi's opener after 17 minutes.

The draw left Crotone 13 points clear of third-placed Trapani, who have four games left to play.

Crotone are five points clear of second-placed Cagliari at the top of the table as they chase the title, but Cagliari have a game in hand.
