CA will run the series in partnership with Shimano with elite men and women racing and accumulate points across the following dates and locations:

  • November 11: Launceston, Launceston Cycling Festival
  • November 17: Sydney, Criterium White Bay
  • November 18: Wollongong, Shimano Wollongong Criterium
  • December 16: South Melbourne, SKCC Shimano Supercrit
An overall winner will be crowned after the final crit in South Melbourne.

CA's sport general manager, Kipp Kauffman said the crit series was a formalisation of existing and new crit races.

"The growing popularity of summer crit racing has inspired us to align a number of new and existing events to offer a national series of exciting and up-close crit racing thanks to the support of Shimano Australia."

“We’ve seen events like the Shimano Super Crit, and the Launceston Cycling Festival attract the big names from the WorldTour such as honorary Aussie Koen de Kort, Simon Gerrans, Valentina Scandolara and Marianne Vos, so we’re keen to attract these top level riders again, whilst putting on show the local talent from national and up-and-coming talent.”
