Cycling Australia made the announcement on Saturday (AEST) after a General Meeting for members, with only one association voting against and one abstention.
The AusCycling special resolutions required 75% of members to vote in favour and accordingly the resolutions were approved.
The new AusCycling entity will include road and track cycling, with Cycling Australia and the six state and territory associations that voted in favour to be among those to now work with MTBA and BMX Australia.
"Further announcements in relation to the implementation of AusCycling will be made in due course," a press on the Cycling Australia website read.
Last week, Tasmanian cycling clubs voted unanimously to join AusCycling at a Special General Meeting, overturning their 'no' vote to the unified cycling model six months ago.
