Sydney FC will have a fight on their hands to keep marquee striker Bobo, with Turkish side Antalyaspor keen to prise the Brazilian from the A-League club.

Bobo, who joined the Sky Blues in August on a deal believed to be worth around $1 million, is off-contract at the end of the 2016/2017 season.

The 32-year-old has been a vital part of Graham Arnold’s record breaking, Premiers' Plate-winning team, leading the club's goal-scorers' list with 14 goals and four assists in 25 games.

The Brazilian’s exploits in the A-League have turned heads in Turkey, where Bobo is a well-known property having spent eight seasons of his career in the Super Liga.

He spent five with Beskitas and three with Kayserispor, scoring a total of 95 goals in 211 appearances while amassing several trophies and individual honuors along the way.

It is unknown if an offer from Antalasport has been tabled to Bobo, but reports from Turkey suggest that the club is in negotiations with the prolific attacker.

It is understood Brazilian clubs are also monitoring Bobo’s progress.

Sydney FC are reportedly keen to re-sign the former Brazil Under-20 representative however, will face stiff competition for his signature.

Arnold last month insisted he was in no rush to re-sign his foreign players with Milos Ninkovic, Filip Holosko, Jordy Buijs and Milos Dimitrijevic all also coming off contract at the end of June.

"All of them are patient and happy. Ninkovic, Bobo, Holosko, Dimitrijevic, they don't want to really have discussions until after we win the grand final," Arnold said on March 30.

"They're not pushing us to put any contracts in front of them or anything, they just want to keep playing and keep winning."

With Ninkovic having a stellar campaign and among the favourites for the Johnny Warren Medal, Sydney may look upgrade the Serbian playmaker to marquee status at the expense of either Slovakian winger Holosko or Bobo, which could factor into the Brazilian's decision.

Bobo’s management was unavailable for comment.
