The Flamengo coach was complaining about a sports tribunal ruling that suspended him for two matches because he criticised the federation's decision to limit team squads in the regional tournament, preventing the top clubs from testing young players ahead of the Brazilian league.
In a news conference, Luxemburgo made a brief speech denouncing the suspension and defending his rights, then put the tape over his mouth and left briskly, without taking questions.
Luxemburgo said he will not back down against the federation, but won't speak again until he has his rights back.
