Foord set to follow Kerr to England with Arsenal move on the cards

Matildas attacker Caitlin Foord could be the second high profile Aussie player to make the move to England's Women's Super League.

A report in the Herald Sun claims Foord will link up with Australian coach Joe Montemurro at Arsenal with the Gunners set to sign the exciting forward.

The 25-year-old would become the third Australian in the WSL following close friend Sam Kerr, who last week made her Chelsea debut, and rising star Jacynta Galabadaarachchi at West Ham.

Incredibly, Foord could make her Arsenal debut against Kerr with Chelsea and the Gunners facing off on January 20.

A Sydney FC swansong against the Brisbane Roar on January 16 may be on the cards for Foord if the move to England's top division comes to fruition.

It would be arguably the biggest move of Foord's career which has included successful stints in the USA with Portland Thorns and Sky Blue FC as well as in Japan with Vegalta Sendai.

The Thorns recently traded Foord to NWSL rivals Orlando Pride, but she is unlikely to play a single minute for the Florida based club with the move to Arsenal more likely.
