Ronaldo is in a purple patch of form, scoring his seventh goal in four games this year as Juventus' defeated Roma 3-1 in the Coppa Italia on Thursday (AEDT).

Speaking after the match, Sarri claimed none of the credit for Ronaldo's performance, instead giving it all to Ronaldo's mother.

"Ronaldo is in extraordinary physical and mental condition, scoring with remarkable consistency," Sarri said to Rai Sport.

"On an individual level, I don’t see what Ronaldo could improve. Perhaps in some defensive moments.

“I cannot take credit for Ronaldo’s current form, you can only give credit to his mother for creating such a specimen!”

Ronaldo, who turns 35 in two weeks, has scored 13 goals in his last 10 matches (all competitions) and is second on the Serie A scorer's chart on 16 (17 games played) behind Lazio's Ciro Immobile (23 goals, 19 played).
