Goodwin's move comes off the back of an impressive season with Al-Wehda, where he scored four goals to go with seven assists in 29 league appearances.
The 28-year-old joined Al-Wehda on a two-year deal in July 2019 but will now play out the final year of his contract with their Abha-based rivals.
Abha finished ninth last season and will look to hit the ground running when their new campaign kicks off against Al-Shabab on Sunday (AEDT).
