The new mural will celebrate Andy Carroll's bicycle kick goal against Crystal Palace on January 14.
Scored in the 79th minute, the goal put the icing on the cake of the Hammers' 3-0 win over the Eagles, with the new installation set to include a photo of the forward in mid-air converting the strike alongside 'Carroll 9'.
It replaces what used to be a picture of Payet, a hero-turned-villain at the East London club after he announced that he had no intention of playing again for West Ham in mid January after earlier being named the team's player of the season in 2015-2016.
Payet has since been granted a transfer to Marseille, while the Hammers have started to turn around their poor early season form, having won five of their last seven Premier League matches.
It is scheduled to be installed ahead of the match against Manchester City on Thursday morning (AEST).
