We've got a host of great cycling coming your way in 2026 live and free on SBS and SBS VICELAND, with SBS On Demand the place to find all the catch-up replays and highlights.

What is the UAE Tour?

The UAE Tour has been a World Tour road cycling event since 2019, and has built an impressive array of winners, with Tadej Pogacar in the men's (three editions) and Elisa Longo Borghini in the women's (two editions) the only multiple general classification victors at the race.

The climb of Jebel Hafeet stands ominously on Stage 6 for the men, and Stage 4 for the women, the 10.6 km climb at 6.8% a challenge for only the best climbers in the peloton to succeed on, with the winner of the race overall normally emerging there.

The varied terrain of the UAE takes the peloton to the desert, coast and mountains as a tough parcours can see the race won and lost elsewhere, with a very steep climb to Jebel Mobrah likely to impact the men's race, with a 12.2 km individual time trial another key stage for the general classification.

Key riders for the 2026 UAE Tour Men's

The 2026 men's edition of the race boasts a strong contingent of riders vying for early World Tour honours, with Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull BORA Hansgrohe), Jonas Vingegaard (Visma Lease a Bike), Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates) and Australian Michael Storer (Tudor Pro Cycling) all likely candidates for the win overall in the men's race. Sprinters Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) and Fabio Jakobsen (Picnic PostNL) will battle it out in the flat finishes.

Key riders for the 2026 UAE Tour Women's

The womens field is similarly full of top quality riders, with Australia Neve Bradbury, Kasia Niewiadoma (both Canyon//SRAM), Marlen Reusser (Movistar), Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx-Protime) and two-time winner Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE Team ADQ) expected to battle for top honours.

Sprinters Charlotte Kool (Fenix-Premier Tech) and Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) will come head-to-head on the flat finishes, the top fastest women in the peloton already with a healthy rivalry in other top races.
