Some of the biggest names in the ATP world rankings will once again descend on the spiritual home of Australian tennis at Kooyong, Victoria as part of their preparations for the 2026 Australian Open.
The Kooyong Classic will return to the screens of SBS from January 13-15 next year, following the cancellation of the 2025 tournament due to operational issues.
The 2024 edition featured a star-studded line-up including world number one and two-time Australian Open men's singles champion Jannik Sinner, world number 12 Holger Rune, former world number five Casper Ruud, and Australian Marc Polmans.
Additionally, former US Open champions Marin Cilic and Dominic Thiem, Australian Open semi-finalist Karen Khachanov, three-time grand slam champions Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka, world number 14 Danielle Collins and world number 11 Mirra Andreeva also competed.
Past participants in the tournament also include Australian Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz.
All three days of the Australian Open warm-up tournament will be brought to you live and free via SBS and SBS On Demand, wrapping up on Thursday, January 15 - just three days before the main event gets underway at Melbourne Park.
Kooyong Classic tournament director Peter Johnston was thrilled that the event would be returning in 2026.
“The Kooyong Classic is a beloved event with a storied history," Johnston said.
"We look forward to delivering an unforgettable experience for both players and fans."
