'I think I failed' - Bernal's hair-raising experience

Egan Bernal attacked his hair with the clippers on Monday's rest day a move he now regrets.

“I cut my hair myself, I had some time yesterday," INEOS Grenadiers' leader told French TV after Stage 10.

"I’ll tell you the truth, I cut more on one side than the other. I had to shave everything at the end. I missed it a bit.
"I think I failed.”
Perhaps Bernal should've sought assistance from fellow young star Tadej Pogačar who also had a rest day hair-raising experience.

UAE Emirates masseur Yoseba Elguezabal lost a bet with Tadej Pogačar and he paid with his hair. The Slovenian youngster can be seen in the video in the player above shaving Elguezabal's barnet.

But all the fun would've been little comfort for Pogačar after Stage 10, who came down in the crush as the peloton navigated the dangerous road furniture on the run into the finale.

Although he said he was OK after the stage and hooked back on to the pack fairly easily, team mate Davide Formolo finished the stage but was forced to abandon the race with a broken clavicle after the same crash, leaving Pogačar with six team mates after Fabio Aru exited stage right on Stage 9.
