'I'm f***ing here' - 36ers star Humphries out to silence critics

Isaac Humphries hopes to keep his critics quiet with another dominant performance for the Adelaide 36ers on Wednesday night.

The 36ers centre had come under some criticism following his side's season-opening defeat to Melbourne United but has since found form with a string of impressive performances.

With a double-double in two of his past three games, Humphries now resembles every bit the prized recruit coach Conner Henry had hoped to bring to the City of Churches.

And, speaking after his 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks against the New Zealand Breakers in Round 2, the 23-year-old had a message for anyone yet to be convinced.

"It’s time people start taking notice," Humphries said. "I’m f***ing here and I’m ready to go.

"Critics are critics, man. It's what I do on the court that keeps them quiet.

"They can say what they want but the proof is in the pudding."

Humphries' haul helped the 36ers clinch an overtime victory over the Breakers at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and the two sides will resume hostilities tonight as Round 3 continues LIVE, FREE and in HD on SBS On Demand from 7:30pm (AEDT).
