Ingham roars off to Indonesia after securing Brisbane exit

New Zealand international Jai Ingham is on the move again, swapping Brisbane Roar for an unnamed club in Indonesia’s Liga 1.

The 26-year-old winger was given permission to terminate his Roar deal - which had 18 months to run - after the Indonesian outfit made an official approach over the weekend.

Ingham, who began his professional career with Brisbane, struggled to force his way into Robbie Fowler’s starting line-up this season, making just seven appearances.

He was last sighted off the bench against Western United in mid December, followed by three NYL appearances.

Ingham rejoined the Roar six months ago in curious circumstances, just weeks after signing a two-year deal with the Central Coast Mariners during pre-season.

That deal followed his release from Melbourne Victory after four seasons.

But before the season had even begun, Ingham had negotiated his Mariners exit to return to the Roar for whom he made his A-League debut in 2014.

It was his third A-League club in just three months.
