"The Voice of Cycling" Phil Liggett and two-time yellow jersey wearer Jens Voigt will be joined by Australian cycling greats Rohan Dennis and Simon Gerrans for The Tour on Stage.

Presented by SBS and Lateral Events, they will be dissecting the sport, the Tour de France and giving unparalleled insight into life in the professional peloton.

An insider's conversation into the triumphs, tribulations of pursuing the yellow jersey, supported by footage from some of the most poignant moments of professional cycling; this will be a unique evening dedicated to cycle enthusiasts at which audience members can ask questions live on stage.

BMC Racing’s Rohan Dennis, will join The Tour on Stage in Sydney and Melbourne. Dennis began his career by focusing on the track, and was part of the Australian team that took silver in the team pursuit at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Dennis set a new world hour record on the boards of 52.491km in February, beating Matthias Brändle’s record by over 600 metres. He was selected to ride the 2015 Tour de France as a key lieutenant to team leader Tejay van Garderen and proved his worth with a dramatic stage one time trial victory achieved in record breaking time around the Utrecht city streets. Dennis became the first yellow jersey wearer of the 2015 Tour de France, and the seventh Australian to wear the Golden Fleece.

Following his stellar performance at the 2015 Tour de France, in August Dennis won the US Pro Challenge, the world’s highest altitude UCI stage road race, becoming the first non-American to do so.

Simon Gerrans, captain of the ORICA-GreenEDGE team will also join The Tour on Stage in Sydney and Melbourne. With a stage win in each Grand Tour - the only Australian to do so - and a coveted two-day stint in the Tour de France yellow jersey, Gerrans is a bone fide Australian success story.

Camaraderie, mateship and honour. Three pillars that define Gerrans, also define ORICA-GreenEDGE, the team he calls home. Having been part of the ORICA-GreenEDGE family since its inception in 2012, Gerran’s now enmeshed in the culture that he believes sets his team apart.

He’s delivered the team two national road titles - and their first “monument” win at Milan-San Remo - but it was the selfless act of passing on the yellow jersey to teammate Daryl Impey in the 2013 Tour de France that signified what ORICA-GreenEDGE really means to him. It also solidified his reputation as the ‘Mr Nice Guy’ of the professional peloton.
