Just days after becoming the latest player to leave Perth Glory as the fallout of its salary cap saga continues to bite, the 26-year-old left-back will parachute into Pirtek Stadium as Tony Popovic begins his off-season rebuilding program.
The deal was confirmed on Sunday as Jamieson returns to his west Sydney roots after beginning his career with Blacktown City.
Jamieson, who wore the sky blue of Sydney FC for two seasons before heading to Glory for a three-year stint, was one of coach Kenny Lowe’s star performers last season as the club led the ladder for much of the campaign.
He made 56 appearances for the club, missing just one match last season, as he bounced back strongly from a ruptured Achilles tendon that reduced him to just seven appearances in 2013-2104.
He is the first of what is expected to be many new faces at Pirtek Stadium for next season after a club clear-out that has seen the Wanderers shed Socceroos striker Tomi Juric, veteran goalkeeper Ante Covic, strikers Kerem Bulut and Nikita Rukavytsya, midfielders Iacopo La Rocca, Jason Trifiro, Nick Ward and Nick Kalmar and defenders Antony Golec and Adrian Madaschi.
"We're bringing another Western Sydney international home," said Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas.
"The Wanderers aim to inspire and provide a pathway for the youth of Western Sydney and having another one of our own in the first-team helps show them what is possible.
"Scott has had a stand-out season at Perth Glory and we're delighted to have him on board. He can play anywhere on the left flank and will add strength to our defensive and attacking stocks."
Wanderers defender Jonathan Aspropotamitis, 18, has also earned his first senior contract with the club after making nine appearances for the senior side in 2014-2015.
"Jonathan has impressed everyone at the club with his attitude and application since bursting onto the scene this year," Tsatsimas said.
"He has done well and is further testament to our commitment to youth as one of five debutants from the youth team this season as well as one of eight current Young Socceroos at the Wanderers."
Glory, meanwhile, has lost Dutch winger Youssouf Hersi, goalkeepers Danny Vukovic and Jack Duncan over the past fortnight with striker Jamie Maclaren and defender Michael Thwaite looking set to follow suit.
