Juric linked with unlikely Indonesian move

Socceroos striker Tomi Juric has been linked with an unlikely move to the Indonesian Premier League.

Currently out of favour at Swiss club Luzern where he is off contract in May, Juric has been linked with a shock move to club side Persib Bandung with numerous reports in Indonesian media claiming he is set to join the West Javanese club.

Fan accounts of Persib Bandung have also jumped on board with thousands campaigning on social media for the Indonesian side to sign the 27-year-old.

Juric however, has seemingly laughed off the suggestion. On an Instagram post by his brother Deni Juric yesterday, Tomi respsonded to the numerous Persib fans' comments with #Persib followed by several laughing face emojis.

It has been a tough season for the former Western Sydney Wanderer's front man who has struggled for playing time at Luzern with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign. 

He has not featured for for his club since February 10 when he put in a 90 minute performance during a 2-1 loss to NE Xamax.

It was only Juric's sixth match for Luzern since the start of the season and his first in more than three months.

He has not seen any action since that match with the club.

Juric's father and advisor Branko Juric told The World Game last month this season will likely be his last with Luzern.

“At the end of the season Tomi will be looking for a fresh new challenge,” said Juric senior.

“A lot depends on how he goes between now and then. If he’s performing well of course finding the right club will be easier.

“There are some clubs interested already but we will just see what happens."
