Juric strikes and De Silva makes league debut in Roda defeat to Twente

Australia striker Tomi Juric scored a late consolation and Daniel De Silva made his first Eredivisie appearance for Roda JC, after coming on as a substitute, in the 2-1 defeat at Twente on Monday (AEST).

The Young Socceroos playmaker was brought on in the 62nd minute and joined fellow Australians Rostyn Griffiths and Juric who started the match in Enschede.

De Silva came on on with his side two goals down after first-half strikes from Twente pair Jari Oosterwijk and Kamohelo Mokotjo.

Juric gave his side a chance of a late fightback when he pulled one back in the 81st minute for Roda.

But the home side held on for a 2-1 win.

It was the first time all three Australians had played together on the pitch in the league since moving to the Eredivisie club.
