Jurman, who is tipped to start in Tuesday night's glamour exhibition against the might of English Premier League champion Chelsea, is in his second spell with the club and forged a formidable centre-back pairing with Senegal stopper Jacques Faty as the Sky Blues surged to this season's A-League grand final.
The club confirmed the 25 year-old re-signing Tuesday as coach Graham Arnold continues shoring up his squad for next season with Faty, midfielder Mikael Tavares and striker Shane Smeltz all putting pen to paper in recent weeks.
"I’m very happy to be staying at the club for another two years," Jurman said.
"It’s the biggest club to play for in the A-League and I’ve a feeling we are building something special so I want to be a part of that.
"Sydney is my home and this club feels like a family to me. There is a very good bond among everyone at the club and we are all ambitious to achieve big things in the new season."
Jurman came off the bench on the hour in Saturday's 1-0 loss to London heavyweight Tottenham Hotspur at ANZ Stadium with Sebastian Ryall and Nikola Petkovic starting on that occasion.
But all indications are he will be deployed from the start against Jose Mourinho's glitterati and will be tasked with attempting to nullify the menace of Spain goal machine Diego Costa.
"Matt has worked very hard to come back to full fitness and the results showed in his performances in the past few months," Arnold said.
"He is an excellent professional and his game is improving all of the time so I’m delighted to be able to offer him an extension to his deal.
"He will continue to be a vital player for us and I look forward to enjoying success with him in the future."
While Jurman is set to stay at Allianz Stadium, the club's player of the year, 31-year-old Serbian Dimitrijevic, has yet to agree terms on extending his one-year stay and is understood to be contemplating a number of offers from rival A-League clubs, with his contract having expired on 30 May.
He is currently in Serbia on vacation as he assesses his options, while Sydney awaits his decision over an upgraded offer.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Danny Vukovic, who was granted a release by Perth Glory last week, has attracted strong interest from Melbourne Victory, Western Sydney Wanderers and Newcastle Jets and will make a final call on his future by the weekend.
Victory, which has shed Nathan Coe and the Wanderers, who have released Ante Civic, are the front runners for his signature.
