Kerr equal top in FIFA 19 ratings

Matildas star striker Sam Kerr has been handed the joint-highest women’s player rating on FIFA 19.

Kerr, 25, has been assigned an overall rating of 89, putting her level with Megan Rapinoe of the USA and French midfielder Amandine Henry.

The forward, who plays for the Chicago Red Stars in the National Womens Soccer League in the USA, was given an impressive 90 for shot power and a 93 for attacking positioning and finishing.

The Matildas No.9 has been banging in the goals for both club and country, with a current record of 16 goals in 17 appearances for Chicago this season and 26 goals in 67 appearances for the Matildas.

Kerr joins other Matildas sporting high ratings for the top-selling game, with Katrina Gorry (83), Elise Kellond-Knight (82) and Lisa De Vanna (81) also ranked among the best in the opinion of publishers EA Sports.
