Landmark broadcast schedule for 2018 FedUni RoadNats

Cycling Australia, in partnership with SBS and FOX SPORTS, is excited to announce a landmark 2018 FedUni Road National Championships broadcast which will deliver live coverage of the elite women's road race for the first time in the event's history.

The live online coverage will explode on SBS digital channels on Wednesday evening with all the thrills and spills of both the men's and women's criterium from the heart of the Ballarat CBD from 6:30pm.

Super Sunday on 7 January will be featured across both SBS VICELAND and FOX SPORTS and will launch at 10am with two hours of live coverage of the 105km women's road race. The final three hours of the men's race will be showcased from 2pm, followed by the presentations to both the 2018 men's and women's champions.

In addition to the broadcast schedule, live streaming coverage will be integrated across digital platforms SBS Cycling Central, SBS On Demand and the FreeView app, in addition to the Foxtel GO App.

"To have eight hours of racing on Super Sunday is unprecedented, and we are proud to be able to provide our fans with the ability to watch our elite women and men battle right to the line for the green and gold jersey."

"We are delighted to partner with SBS and FOX SPORTS to bring the 2018 road nationals to millions of Australian fans, both on television and mobile devices.

The Sunday schedule will also feature a panel show on SBS VICELAND at 1pm, hosted by Matthew Keenan and featuring special guests, to recap all the action from the week of RoadNats and feature in-depth interviews with Australian cycling greats.

The commentary team for race coverage is Matthew Keenan, Phil Liggett, Sophie Smith, Bridie O'Donnell and David McKenzie.

"It's fantastic to kick off what will be a huge 2018 for SBS's cycling coverage with the very best male and female Australian riders free-to-air on SBS television, and across SBS's digital network," SBS Director of Sport Ken Shipp said. "SBS is proud to continue our support of domestic cycling and deliver it to all Australians."
