NBA Aussie Update: Mills catches fire from deep in Giddey matchup

Patty Mills put the NBA on notice again with an incredible night of 3-point shooting in his first meeting with Josh Giddey and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, headlining another week of basketball for our Aussie contingent.

The Boomers captain was electrifying off the bench as he tallied 29 points with a ridiculous nine three pointers from 12 attempts, helping his Brooklyn Nets to a 120-96 victory on the road as the young core of the Thunder failed to keep up.

While Giddey didn't have his best game so far, he still managed 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists against one of the league's best teams with his rookie season still well in its' infancy.

Elsewhere, Matisse Thybulle's absence due to health and safety protocols has been hurting his Philadelphia 76ers, as they lost three straight games while Joe Ingles' Utah Jazz also faced some early season adversity.
