NRL star and Liverpool fan Farah given leave to attend Champions League final

National Rugby League veteran Robbie Farah has been granted leave by his club Wests Tigers to go to Madrid and watch the UEFA Champions League Final between Tottenham and his beloved Liverpool.

The match kicks off on Sunday morning (AEST) and the 35-year-old must be back in Sydney by Monday (AEST) for training. 

Wests Tigers have a bye this weekend and will play their next match against Canberra on Friday, June 7. 

Farah is a lifelong Liverpool fan and has a 'YNWA' (You'll Never Walk Alone) tattoo.

The Tigers are currently in 10th position on the NRL ladder.
