Fresh from returning to Melbourne after an injury-riddled stint in Europe, the New Zealand midfielder has returned to the Victory in the best way possible - finding the back of the net in their 3-1 win over Sydney FC.
With a month to go until the new A-League season begins, Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory were looking to set an early precedent in their preseason warm-up game at AAMI Park in Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon.
Starting in his first match for Victory since 2013, Rojas highlighted a strong starting 11, featuring the likes of Besart Berisha and James Troisi against a Sydney side featuring Bobo and fellow new signings Alex Wilkinson and Michael Zullo.

Berisha opened the scoring, converting from the penalty spot 15 minutes in after Mitch Austin was taken down in the box, before Brandon O'Neill equalised four minutes later.
Rojas scored in the 36th minute, courtesy of a James Troisi assist before Austin sealed the win with a goal in the 69th minute.
Melbourne begin their season against Brisbane Roar away on 7 October while Sydney's opener against the Wanderers on 8 October.
