Ronaldo throws microphone into lake ahead of crucial Portugal clash

Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown a reporter's microphone into a lake after reacting adversely to the journalist's question during Portugal's team walk, ahead of the crucial UEFA EURO 2016 clash with Hungary.

The journalist from Portuguese media outlet Correio da Manha approached Ronaldo during the team walk and asked if he was ready for the game, when the Portuguese captain took the microphone and threw it into a nearby lake.

Reporters typically do not approach players on matchday, with the team walk used as an opportunity to take photographs and shoot video ahead of the game.

Ronaldo has been criticised for his performances at the tournament and for negative comments he made about Iceland after Portugal's opening game.
