Ronaldo's son Cristiano junior joins Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo Junior has followed suit with his superstar father and joined the playing ranks of Italian giants Juventus.

Portugal captain Ronaldo has also brought his family into the Bianconeri ranks, with his son joining the Juve youth academy.

Cristiano Junior began training with the Under-9 squad yesterday at the Vinovo training ground.

Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez was present to cheer him on.

The Ronaldos are not the only father-son combo at the club, as Andrea Barzagli's son Mattia and Claudio Marchisio's son Davide are also in the youth academy - although Davide is expected to move along with his father.

Cristiano senior spoke about his son recently to streaming platform DAZN, saying: "Cristiano Junior is very competitive.

"He is like me when I was a kid. He doesn't like to lose.

"He will become like me, I'm 100% sure."
