A Saudi Pro League match has been called into question after a stadium official reportedly unplugged the Video Assistant Referee to charge his mobile phone.

The technical issues experienced during Al-Nassr's August victory over Al-Fateh are said to be attributed to the negligence of one worker who felt the need to charge his device.

Firas Al-Buraikan fired home the game's only goal in Al-Hasa, with Al-Nassr winless in all competitions since.

FIFA's technological innovation has never been too far from controversy but, on this occasion, it's safe to say it wasn't their fault.
The Saudi Football Federation have since denied the report.
