The 34-year-old has been sidelined for most of this season - his last before retirement - and it looked to have ended prematurely when he limped off two minutes into last week's 3-0 loss to Melbourne City.

Captain and long-time central defensive partner Andrew Durante hopes the team can give Sigmund the best possible farewell, along with Manny Muscat, who is leaving next season for Melbourne City.
"They've been fantastic stalwarts and leaders at this football club and we want to send them off in the right way," Durante said.
"I know both of them would like a couple of wins to say thank you to the fans.
