Singh makes Bundesliga debut for Bayern

New Zealand international Sarpreet Singh had a moment to savour on Sunday, making his Bundesliga debut during Bayern Munich's 6-1 thrashing of Werder Bremen.

Singh came on as a substitute for Philippe Coutinho in the 82nd minute after interim manager Hansi Flick handed the Brazilian an early shower following his impressive three-goal haul.

The former Wellington Phoenix star mustered some meaningful touches during his time on the pitch and soon found himself clean through on goal, before the referee pulled play back for a foul.

With Bayern already in command at 6-1, the 20-year-old's introduction allowed both Flick and the fans an opportunity to see their latest signing in first-team action.

Singh has been a regular with the reserve side this season, notching four goals and seven assists in 14 matches.

And with his senior debut done and dusted, perhaps further call-ups are in order.
