The forest fire blazed across Korea's mountainous region in the north-east, close to the border with North Korea.
Two people are confirmed dead and around 400 homes have been destroyed.
Investigators say the fire, one of the largest in the country's history, started from a transformer spark on April 5.
"It's nothing compared to what the victims have sacrificed,” the Tottenham star told Goal.
“Although I'm living abroad, I know what's happening in my home country.
“I think it's something I should do when there's a big disaster in my home country.
“I believe money does not matter. The most important thing is a mind to do something for the victims."
