Struggling Hamburg grab point at Hoffenheim

Hamburg are still waiting for their first win of the season but they at least picked up a creditable 2-2 draw at Hoffenheim.

The Bundesliga basement boys led through Filip Kostic's goal in the 28th minute, but efforts either side of half-time from Sandro Wagner and Steven Zuber had the hosts in front.

Nicolai Muller grabbed a leveller, but the draw still left the visitors propping up the league with just three points from 11 games.

Hoffenheim's failure to win meant they missed the chance to go third.

Fellow strugglers Werder Bremen also threw away the lead as they went down 2-1 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Florian Grillitsch's goal was cancelled out by second-half strikes from Alexander Meier and Aymen Barkok to leave Bremen third bottom.
