Though there were fears the riders would have to alter their route for the day’s race, it was later confirmed the truck was able to get through before Dylan Teuns (Bahrain Victorious) took the solo victory.

Teuns dedicated the impressive mountain win to his late grandfather, after what was an action-filled stage that saw defending champion Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) take the yellow jersey in commanding fashion.
