Mark Cavendish has a hold of the overall lead at the five star sprinters party, AKA the Dubai Tour, after winning the opening stage in a sprint finish. He held off Andrea Guardini (Astana) and Elia Viviani (Sky) following the 145km run from the Dubai International Marine Club to Union House Flag.
