Getting the representative tap on the shoulder are Briony Mattocks (NSW - elite women), Murray Spink (VIC - elite men) and Michael England (QLD- elite men).

Mattocks pulled on the green and gold stripes for last year's championships in Laissac, France, but said a second year in a row is no less special.

“I’m really excited to once again be given the opportunity to race the fastest women in the world," she said.

"It’s such an honour to represent your country and I’ll be doing my absolute best to demonstrate the values embodied in the green and gold jersey."

England too is no stranger to green and gold after representing Australia at the 2015 XCM World Championships in Italy.

"Australian selection for the 2017 XCM World Championships in Germany has been a major goal for myself this season," the fourth round winner of the 2017 XCM National Series said.

“I’m extremely honoured to have this opportunity and am looking forward to representing my country once again.”

Spink is currently competing in the XC World Cup season over in Europe.
