Now on crowd funding website Indigogo, the Connected Pedal immediately shot past its funding goal. The designers claim the simple platform design helps prevent theft and automatically records all your rides and statistics, without using your phone battery.

The pedals were first shown at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show and will ship later in 2015 to early supporters for $161AUD.
