Victory sign Antonis and Djulbic

Melbourne Victory have signed Terry Antonis and experienced defender Dino Djulbic as part of the club's first transfer endeavour of the January window.

Former Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder, Antonis arrives at the Victory on a two-and-a-half year deal following a short-lived spell with Eredivisie side VVV-Venlo.

With 80 A-League appearances to his name, Antonis will become a key member of Kevin Muscat's midfield alongside Socceroo Mark Milligan as the club continue their mid-season revival.

Meanwhile veteran Djulbic returns on a short-term deal, replacing the injured James Donachie, as well as Thomas Deng, who will miss most of January away on international duty with the Olyroos.

With over 150 A-League appearances spanning spells with Perth Glory and Gold Coast United, and a recent stint with FELDA United in Malaysia, the 34-year-old will add much needed steel to a defence that has kept just two clean sheets all season.

"Dino and Terry are experienced footballers and just the type of players we needed to sign at this point of the season," Head coach Muscat said.

"We've developed a really balanced squad, with plenty of competition, and we're well placed to tackle a particularly busy period that will also include the Asian Champions League."

Both players will be available for selection against the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday, pending receipt of International Transfer Certificates.
