Geria will likely not feature in Victory's clash against cross-town rivals Melbourne City on Friday night as he prepares to secure a move to J2 League side JEF United, as reported by Goal.com.

While the A-League club previously rejected United's initial bid, an improved undisclosed offer for the right-back has since been accepted.

The 24-year-old's departure comes after Victory sold Socceroos midfielder Mark Milligan to Saudi Arabian giants Al Ahli for $1 million during the January transfer window.

A Socceroo himself, Geria has featured in 20 of Victory's 21 league games this season, and was an integral member of the side that won the Premiers Plate, A-League Championship and FFA Cup in 2015.

Coach Kevin Muscat will turn to either Leigh Broxham or Stefan Nigro to fill the void left in defence ahead of a crucial six-game domestic stretch to solidify Victory's place inside the top six.

Victory signed Geria back in 2012, then under Ange Postecoglou, and he has since made over 100 appearances for the club.
