Returning after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 20 teams will travel to Croatia to contest the six-stage event, including four WorldTour teams - Jumbo-Visma, Israel Start-Up Nation, Bahrain Victorious and Team BikeExchange.
Riders will cover a total of 1,080 kilometres across the six days of racing through 13 Croatian counties, with the prize a red and white leader's jersey as well as the usual points, KOM, under 23 and teams classifications to be awarded after the finale in Zagreb.
Stage 1 sees the peloton set off from the city of Osijek and take on a 237 kilometre route through the region of Vinograd likely to conclude in a bunch sprint finish in Varaždin, with two chances for extra points as well as one KOM opportunity along the way.
Adam Yates won the last edition of the race in 2019 as a member of Mitchelton-Scott (now Team BikeExchange), followed by Davide Villella (Astana) in second and Victor de la Parte (CCC Team) in third.
