As elite football around the world is placed on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak, FIFA has stepped up to try and fill the void by delving into their World Cup archive.

Using their official YouTube channel, a number of famous World Cup encounters will be replayed in full for the enjoyment of the football-starved faithful.

Monday's (AEDT) offering was the blockbuster Women's World Cup semi-final clash between England and USA at France 2019.

USA goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher produced a late penalty save to help the Stars and Stripes to a 2-1 win and their third consecutive Women's World Cup final.

We decided to take a trip down memory lane and watch along.
