'You're a legend!' - Kewell shocks Aussie Liverpool fan with amazing gesture

Socceroos and Liverpool legend Harry Kewell has always known how to impress fans on the field, now he's proven he can have just as big an impact on them off the field.

Kewell received a tweet from Australian football fan Stephanie Williams overnight venting her frustration at a message she received insisting: "there’s no way I can be a true Liverpool supporter because I live in Australia.”

It didn't take long for the 40-year-old former Leeds star to respond to her, absolutely making her day.

“Hi Stephanie - could you DM me your address please? I would like to send you a signed shirt. #YNWA,” Kewell tweeted back.

Williams couldn't believe her luck, responding to the news she'll be sent a treasured keepsake from the Reds legend with predictable excitement.

“What a gesture and I can’t believe it still you’re a legend!," an ecstatic Williams responded.

Kewell's coaching career appears to have stalled. He is currently without a club after being sacked by Notts County in November having posted just three wins in his 14 games at the helm.
