Croatia and Morocco will qualify if...

  • Both teams win
  • Both teams draw
  • Croatia win and Morocco draw
  • Croatia win and Morocco lose
  • Croatia draw and Morocco lose - Belgium qualify if Morocco lose by 4 or if Morocco lose by 3 and score 1-2 less goals
  • Croatia draw and Morocco win - Morocco top group

Croatia and Belgium will qualify if...

  • They draw and Morocco - Morocco qualify if they remain ahead of Belgium on goal difference
  • Croatia lose to Belgium; Morocco lose - Morocco qualify if Croatia lose by 2 more than them or if Croatia lose by 1 more and score 2-3 less goals

Morocco and Belgium will qualify if...

  • Both teams win
  • Morocco draw and Belgium win - Belgium top group
  • Morocco lose and Belgium win - Belgium top group; Croatia qualify if they remain ahead of Morocco on goal difference

The consensus

Each team in Group F can still qualify for the round of 16, except Canada who have already been eliminated.

Croatia will qualify and top the group with a win against Belgium, regardless of the result in the other match. They will still qualify and top the group with a draw, granted Morocco do not beat Canada - in which case they will finish second. If they lose, they can only still qualify if Morocco also lose and they remain ahead of the North African side on goal difference.

Morocco will only need a win against Canada to book their place in the last 16, and will top the group in this instance as long as Croatia do not beat Belgium. A draw will see them finish second regardless of the result in the other match, while they will only be guaranteed qualification with a loss to Canada if Belgium also lose.

Belgium will qualify and top the group with a win against Croatia, granted Morocco do not beat Canada - in which case they will finish second. They can only qualify with a draw if Morocco suffer a heavy defeat to Canada.
