Portugal and Ghana will progress if...

  • Both teams win
  • Both teams draw
  • Portugal win and Ghana draw
  • Portugal draw and Ghana win
  • Portugal lose and Ghana draw - Korea Republic qualify if they win by 2 goals or score 4 more goals than Ghana
  • Portugal lose and Ghana win - Ghana top group if they pass Portugal on goal difference or goals scored

Portugal and Korea Republic will progress if...

  • Portugal loses to Korea Republic; Ghana and Uruguay draw - Ghana qualify if they remain ahead of Korea Republic on goal difference or goals scored
  • Portugal loses to Korea Republic; Ghana loses to Uruguay - Uruguay qualify if they win by 2 more than South Korea or win by 1 more and score 2-3 more goals

Portugal and Uruguay will progress if...

  • Both teams win
  • Portugal draw and Uruguay win
  • Portugal lose and Uruguay win - Korea Republic qualify if they remain ahead of Uruguay on goal difference or goals scored

The consensus

Each team in Group H can still qualify for the knock-stages.

Portugal have already secured their place in the last 16 with victories in both of their opening group matches, and can only relinquish top spot in the group if they lose and Ghana pull ahead of them on goal difference.

A win in their heavily-anticipated 2010 quarter-final rematch against Uruguay will guarantee Ghana a spot in in the round of 16. A draw will also be enough, granted South Korea do not defeat Portugal and surpass the Black Stars on goal difference. A loss will see them exit the tournament.
Despite sitting third in the group, Korea Republic are mathematically the least likely to qualify for the last 16 in Group H. A win against Portugal will only be enough in the event of a Ghana-Uruguay draw and upon the AFC affiliates surpassing the former on goal difference in the same scenario, or if Uruguay win but do not surpass them on goal difference or goals scored.

Uruguay will make it through to the next round with a win over Ghana, granted Korea Republic do not defeat Portugal in the other match and remain ahead of the South Americans on goal difference.
