Australia will take on old foes Denmark in their final game of Group D at the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Thursday 1 December, which could have massive ramifications for the outcome of the group depending on the results of the first two rounds.

After their first two fixtures against France on November 23 and Tunisia on November 26, the Socceroos will face off against Denmark for the second World Cup in a row on December 1 at Al Wakhrah stadium.

The two nations played out a 1-1 draw at Russia 2018, an even fixture where Australia had the slight edge in possession and shots taken which could give them a boost ahead of this match-up.

Denmark went on to progress from the group along with eventual champions France, while the Socceroos finished in last place.

Graham Arnold's squad will be trying to avoid that same fate this time around, but it'll be far from an easy task with all their opponents making for very tough fixtures.
