Asked at a news conference on Sunday if the player would be available, Tite initially replied with a simple "yes," but then explained Neymar would join the training session in the afternoon and, if everything goes well, he would play in Monday's match.
"He has a specific training, so I don't anticipate any situation," Tite said, but didn't clarify whether Neymar would be in the starting XI.
Neymar, and also defender Danilo, missed the group stage games against Switzerland and Cameroon after suffering ankle injuries during their opener against Serbia.
Defender Danilo is set to return against South Korea, while left-back Alex Sandro, who suffered an injury against Switzerland is out. "He has no conditions to play," Tite said.
Striker Gabriel Jesus and defender Alex Telles have already been ruled out of the tournament in Qatar after both sustained knee injuries during the Cameroon match.
Tite said the injuries force an "adaptation to a different reality," but that the team had other players who could step up.
