Klassen seals victory for the Netherlands

The Netherlands will run away 2-0 winners in Al Thumama after Davy Klassen got his name on the scoresheet.

Memphis Depay drove beyond Kalidou Koulibaly and forced a save out of Edouard Mendy, though the Senegal shot-stopper could only parry the ball back into the path of the onrushing Klassen.

The deadlock has been broken, and it's Cody Gakpo who wheels away following a brilliant header past Edouard Mendy.

Frenkie De Jong's ball into the box was perfectly weighted, allowing Gakpo to beat his opposing defenders and give the Netherlands a 1-0 lead over Senegal.

No less than three minutes after England's fourth, Mehdi Taremi cuts the deficit with a fine finish past Jordan Pickford.

Taremi received the ball following a well-worked Iran move, though England fans will feel Harry Maguire should have dealt with the situation.

A poor clearance from Hossein Hosseini sees Sterling play in Saka, who cuts inside and slides it into the back of the net.

England are now four goals to the good!
