A speeding penalty early on Stage 6 was a huge blow of confience for defending champion, Daniel sanders. The Victorian hoped to capitalise with a 6'45" lead by stage end; instead, his lead is 45 seconds. Stage 6 delivered the best stage result yet for Toby Price, since his switch to four wheels. Fouth for the day, 4'12" behind Nasser Al-Attiyah. And David Brock's Dakar Rally is in limbo, after the Victorian requested medical help for acute back pain and abandoning the stage.
