Wedding photographer Tara Beth understands the importance of capturing a tender moment - particularly on a couple's wedding day. With close to 30,000 followers on Instagram, Beth, who is lesbian, has photographed dozens of same-sex weddings, earning a reputation for getting that perfect shot each time.
Speaking to Pride, Beth revealed that her favourite moment to photograph is when couples exchange their vows - while also opening up about the responsibility she feels to accurately represent same-sex relationships.
"The representation of female/feminine/butch/female masculinity in the media needs a boost, so I try to help out there as much as I can," she said. "The stereotypical straight male version of female same-sex couples needs to be erased, and replaced by who we all actually are, how we actually look, and how we actually love."
She added: "I strive to capture every couple's true essence, and if that comes through, if their love comes through, then I've done my job."
