A bar in Las Vegas is throwing a huge LGBT+ party after a customer wrote a negative review filled with homophobic slurs.

The Sand Dollar Lounge—which isn’t a gay bar, but proudly welcomes everyone—posted an account of what happened on their Facebook page.

“So an asshole walks into a bar. Starts berating the staff and making demands, asks for free drinks because he does sound on the strip, blah, blah, blah,” the post reads.

“This conversation doesn't end the way he planned so the next day he leaves a shitty review, his prerogative.

“In a twist, in his review he asks 'when did The Sand Dollar turn into a gay bar?' And something demeaning about having male staff and f**s not liking him.

“This we take issue with. Like accusing us of being a gay bar should be an insult. So now obviously, our only response is to throw a LGBTQ party on Sunday August 6th, 8pm-4am with 100% of the profits to be donated to a LGBTQ youth charity.

“We need our gays to show up in full force and show this guy and dinosaurs like him who we are.”
Fans of the Sand Dollar Lounge have left dozens of messages of support—proud of the way their local has dealt with the homophobic incident.

Many local restaurants and businesses have offered free meals and services to donate the raffle which will raise money for The Gay & Lesbian Community Centre of Southern Nevada

The bar has created a crowdfunding page with a goal of raising $10,000 for the local centre.
